Class 4A region 8 (What the H*//)?????

So you have a four team region (obviously all teams make the playoffs)

Millington 3-6 LEADS this region!

Fayette-Ware  3-6

Craigmont 2-7

Memphis East 0-8

You've got an entire region at sub-500 with an automatic playoff berth....  Anybody else see the problem here??   WE HAVE TOO MANY CLASSES!   Now that we've had the Privates move to Division II, does somebody at TSSAA do the right thing and drop Division I down to four classes???

The worst region in TN. I hate it too, Memphis east will literally make the playoffs at 0-10 and finish 0-11

What has happened at Memphis East?! I recall watching them in the semis at Pearl Cohn about three years ago.

They always have low numbers. They won the 4A State Championship year before last. Their coach left and several key players transferred. I hate it. They have been a power in football for a long time

Bottom line is we have too many classes.   I'd assume they will address that in the near future.   Public schools got what they wanted.  Seperation.   Now they need to demand a rebalance so we don't have this crap!   6A in Memphis also only has 4 teams.

Ridiculous.  They need to add 2 teams a piece to 4A 6 and 7.

I think is more about enrollment drops in Memphis than too many classes, in this case. Lots of schools losing hundreds and suburban schools getting bigger and bigger (Bartlett now at 2700).
