Cornersville has my respect. Many GB people know that the Huntingdon and Cornersville game will be probably one of the best games in the state this year. And the team that makes it will more than likely represent in Cookeville. I just think it’s fun causing a raucous because the season as a whole has been BORING! Two weeks off doesn’t help either

Knowing that you have the most elite football team in all of 1A!!!  And I promise you girls,  whoooooo!!!!! there's not a gelding in the bunch!! We arrrrrrrrree the studs of high school football!!!!! And we arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreee the reigning state champions!!!! Everybody else is playing catch up ball!!!! And whether you like it or don't like it,  learn to love it because its the bessssstttt thing going today!!! Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are really good, but not one of the top teams in all classes. 1A and 2A they are as good as anyone, but not the 3A and above teams like Alcoa, Greenville, Oakland Maryville, McCallie, MBA’s of the state.  Let’s not confuse them for being near as good as those huge schools.

Huntingdon won't be able to hang with Cornersville this year.  No disrespect intended toward them, it's just a fact.  Anyone who is being honest with himself knows it.  Greenback will be the only legitimate competition the Bulldogs see all year.  Unlike the fans, myself included, these boys do not look past anyone.  They will be ready, week after week, to destroy every team that lines up in front of them.  See you in Cookeville.

How do your rate them compared to some of the better 1A teams of the past?

I think they are better than some of the previous 1A champions. Time will tell if we can put them among some of the best ones though. I’m not ready to put them over 1997 Trousdale, 2000 CPA, 2007 SP, 2014 Union City, and 2015 NCS teams yet. However all that matters is that they are the best this season. LMBO

We have a pretty good ball team this year as well as some of the other top teams in 1a but this team would not beat that ncs squad that we played a few years back.

A lot of folks wouldn’t beat that team. They were among the best 1A teams ever.
