LC means nothing to me. Petty was the best player on the field he is what put Whitwell over the top.

Maybe.  Maybe not. That could most likely be debated. But I won't take anything away from one side or individual and give it to another.

I will say Cornersville played as cohesively as any team I've seen play in quite sometime.

12 carries for 50 yards with 36 yards coming on one run.

2 receptions for 18 yards.

2 completions for 18 yards and one TD.

There were several top players on the field Saturday for both teams. #31 wasn't head and shoulders above everyone else out there.

The Whitwell D was a huge part of the win and #4 was involved on almost every big defensive play. If I was picking teams after watching that game #22 would be the first player taken.

31 had 16 tackles too! The thing about him is he can play anywhere at a high level.

They looked cohesive.  Like a colony of ants. Prolly bad analogy but I've always been fascinated and impressed as to how well a colony of ants work so well together and the sacrifices they make as a whole for the main goal.

They were impressive the way they worked together. I agree with you. They were a gritty bunch. It just wasn’t in the cards for them this year. The same as the rest of us.

Unbelievable overall play from them in what we seen a couple years ago when they came to the Beene.  But we all knew then they had a special group.

I walked down to the lake a few weeks back when the leaves first started falling.  I heard an unusual rustling in and around some leaves.  There were red army ants on the march.  On the outside of their marching line ever so often they have the bigger soldier ant looking out for any thing that could be an enemy of the colony.  If anything obstructed their path they would signal up a group to move the obstacle and continue their onward march. They don't veer off course.

    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
    • Facts...until someone takes down the Rebels they should be the favorite. Got loads of young guys salivating at the opportunity to prove themselves and get a 3peat! Blazer how is Region 1 looking this year?
