If you’re referring the 5th & 6th grade team, it’s a single team that plays other 5th & 6th grade school teams. It’s all ran through the middle school

This years group is very green but they will develop along the way. Last years group was undefeated and now has 33 players who are now freshman. There will be a down year at some point in time but not in the next 4 years. count on it.

Also it is very nice to be able to put together good athletes from around the county. GC is on the rise and that is a good thing for everyone. It makes the games much more interesting
westtnsportsfan
GC has a good group coming up. They have 3 8th graders that are going to be big time playmakers. Like seeing them play a tough schedule as they have Milan and UC coming up as well. Would definitely say GC football is going to be tough the next few years. They doominated that game from start to finish. Don’t see that very often again and level Peabody team. Archiewho
As bitter of a pill as it was to lose to GC last year for Peabody, I would say the majority of Tide fans definitely are in support of GC improving their program. This could be a really fun rivalry game with big gate turnouts for both programs and would be beneficial to the north side of the county. Games are more meaningful when they are competitive (which outside of last year it hasn’t been). If that means losing to GC because they have gotten better a little more often than the past 30 years, I think it would still be better overall for fan interest
