24 -21, East at Half. I must say, I like the Brentwood coach's approach. Box-in-one defense on Wiseman. Isolation ball on offense with wing players driving and dishing. On occasion challenging Wiseman ... to no avail so far, but they are trying. Slowing the pace down considerably. Good stratagey.

Bearden all but has its gameplan for East if they win.

If Dandrige were available i would give East the lean still but Wiseman cant patrol the paint and prevent the stretch big from scoring.

Well, tomorrow my Memphis basketball watching schedule is as follows:

1:00 PM - Wooddale vs Fulton

3:30 PM - Bearden vs East

 

The U of M plays Houston tomorrow at 2:00 PM on ESPN2 in one of the AAC semi-final games as well. Hmmm ... I see that I will be muti-tasking tomorrow.

That's not what I just witnessed. I saw both teams come out with intensity. I also saw Bearden hit MOST of their outside shots, and get some transition points. Whitehaven didn't hit shots early in the game. Pember is 3-4, with all four being 3-pointers. Bearden is 7-10 from the 3 point line. THAT's the difference!

I was surprised Bearden beat Whitehaven by 16. Can't wait to see  Bearden play East.
