I’d say LC will be very interested in this game, Gibson county won’t quit and will give westview all they want

As bad as I hate to say this but if Matt has the athletes at West View like he did at Waverly it will be a long night for the Pioneers. That’s just my opinion. If all Matt has is a really good QB and no athletes to accommodate him then GC has a chance. Like you LC fans I’m very interested in this matchup also.

I don’t think it would be at this point but it would give you a lot of insight on GC and they are in your region

Oh man you know Peabody is in  store for another L to GC this year. No matter how much scouting.

Supposedly they have some decent skill players around him... last season he didn’t have anyone that could catch the passes. I feel like Westview is going to come into this game looking better on paper, but if we can get the run game going, I feel like we will have a chance.

Two coaches who I think the world of will be on the sidelines this week.  Matt McConnell was did a great job at Waverly.  Cody Finley did a great job at Cheatham County.  Coach Finley’s Gibson County was a State Playoff qualifier last year and they were the ONLY TEAM to hand Peabody an “L”.  Both of these teams will he playoff teams at the end of the season in highly competitive regions in 2A and 3A.  This has to be one of the marquee games in west TN this week.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
