AP Poll

Oakland & Knox Central at #1 this week in their respective polls. Biggest screw up to me is having Fulton in front of South Doyle when they just lost to them 3-42. Interesting that Riverdale is #9 in 6A Poll

I thought the same thing when I saw the 5A poll. But there are a lot of odd things in the other classifications also, makes me wonder if they even bothered to look at all the scores from this past weekend.

Exactly. 20 years ago, they'd might have an excuse, but with everything at your fingertips now, you know every result of a game that night by 11. It makes the one who actually take it seriously look bad

Henry County should be around 5 or 6 imo! Tough week 1 but had a loss from a Haywood team that will no doubt be in Cookeville in Decemeber

Only saying that because of HC losing a lot of seniors from last years team. Either way 5a doesn’t have much depth past the top 5-6... With Oak Ridge at 7 that further proves my point, OR fans have been having a heart attack since they lost that scrimmage to Maryville mercy rule style.

Yeah true we are actually starting a freshman QB and as of right now our star RB is out with injury. U are right though coming in at #3 is suprising that's for sure. Very young o-line. It will take time before we start rolling like we are used to.

I’m ok with where and who the teams are.  My only question is who gives a team that lost week 1 2 first place votes.  IMO it’s a two team race and myself I would have Beech at 1.  They won’t be an underdog in any game they play all year.

Well if it's like the KNS, they get their sports information from USA Today in Nashville! They have no high school sports writer in  Knoxville. So they have no clue!!
