OLD PIRATE
Old Pirate has said fer years the TSSAA is a poor example fer a governing body. Obviously the officiating is generally terrible, region opponents are questionable, state championship location is clearly not the best location, known rule infractions are often times ignored. Those in the know realize all topics have been, were last year and most likely will be this year & fer years to come too major complaint areas of concern. The TSSAA is ran like a political governing body with the main focus on collecting $$$$. Edited September 5, 2019 by OLD PIRATE Edit

Basketball is about to move to more classes within the next few years... not that I want it to though.
lakecounty1968
I think there should be only 4 classes in football using enrollment numbers as the cutoff. Not an even amount of schools in each class. No school with more than 360 students should be playing 1A ball. Just my opinion. The transfer rule should be vetted alot better and made a whole stricter. The TSSAA is not going to do anything that benefits the schools. All they care about is the money.

What would you suggest for the classification cutoffs? Something like 1A 0-360, 2A 361-800, 3A 801-1400 and 4A +1401

Lol think about you just said. so basically screw every classification but 1a. I guess that makes sense to you. Every classification but 1a the low enrollment schools would have to deal with schools twice their size. That seems real fair doesn’t it ? Indian
I wish they’d have looked closer at a rural and urban split for all sports. Looking at potential classes and numbers, several issues would have been helped. I don’t think it had a chance though.

Might as well just go with two classes. 1A 0-360 2A 360+

Yeah that's a big issue to me. Two years ago riverside got beat by Greenville in the 2A baseball state championship. In the fall Greenville won the 4a football championship. Riverside is 2a In Football too. Numbers doesn't make sense there
