Looks like this game is garnering a lot of attention already as tennesseehighschoolfootball.com named it their game of the week. On top of that the MJ/ Gallatin game is also leading the pack for the Tennessee titans game of the week. They will close that poll by 11:59 pm tonight. This game should be a packed house, I hope it lives up to its potential.

Well since Chad Withrow runs that site, it does not surprise me.  He is a huge Mt Juliet homer.  If it gets Titans game of the week then it has really shown more outside interest.

Dont worry, won the Titans G.O.T.W. too. Got accused of cheating that one away from the Blount County matchup:roflol:

Check back about 3 pages back to current in Maryville Alcoa thread. Amazing how the tables turn on the ones who think they are entitled to everything.

They are their respective gold standards in their classifications. If Gallatin had similar success I'm sure their fanbase would feel the same way

Blount county actually wins on field, nothing entitled about it. I guess all the mid TN fans knew they  could watch a Blount county team play football on TV in December.

I know you don't, but some of your brethren clearly do since he took it upon himself to antagonize both fanbases

Do you even read?? Please try doing that first next time, then respond. THEY, the Maryville fans were the ones to throw first shot. Talking about how it must have been a cheated system that anybody besides them could win a fan voting competition about which is the game of the week to watch. (So who is the ones that REALLY care about the stupid poll)

It seems that I, nor MJ would have even mentioned that competition on here AT ALL, until other fanbases took it upon themselves to mention cheating (all while admitting they voted hundreds of times lol) So I guess you also side with the ones who think they are the only ones who play ball amd have fans?

Funny thing is, I don't think I've ever seen a Maryville or Alcoa fanbase pack a stadium at a champ game as large as GHS has. But, I guess different fanbases have different treatment / opinions that can be voiced without ridicule. Pretty obvious.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
