SG is not as good as advertised, at the 1st of the year they had me worried but the hype was overblown. Not a bad team by no means but not a contender either. At least 4 teams in the East better than SG

Agree.  That's one reason why I changed from sg by 10 to Hampton by 7.  I think Hampton will get the win at home but they can't afford the yellow hankies or any turnovers.  The rebels are a solid team.

Think the hankies  was determined before the game the other night. That was an absolute mess.

I'm not sure how good they were "Advertised" but I'll tell you this you better get ready for some quality o-line play and a QB who knows how to make his offense go. I do believe they can be scored on if you can match their size up front and throw it around some. They are certainly  the best team we have played so far I'll say that. We haven't Played Hampton yet though.

Nothing worth a crap comes easy. SG will be the 2ond best team Hampton has played. 1st one didn't work out so well.

Hanky Shmanky :roflolk:

Friday night's flags were ridiculous and even worse on film....I stand with Pujo, officials walked in with an agenda. HEY! your new principal was a top-shelf ref in the state and good friends with those stripes, correct? MmmmHummmmm! Nowwwwwwww it makes sense :roflol:Just mess'n although it was ridiculous

As for Friday, we just need to be ready to play...I'm not worried about our QB play, if we protect, he'll be fine....Not worried about our D right now if we continue to penetrate like we have been...the DE's and corners will have to be ready and safety have his head on straight.

Little said, "Heck, we put a worse whoop'n on you all and SN (physically and mentally)  than SG did"...So this should be a 4-qtr war

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
