You can post all the articles you want just like the rest of the Memphis coach to people do but principal had no reason to lie.  Corruption is rampant in Memphis. They just shut down a school few months ago for giving false grades

He had every reason to lie and thats just what he done sir.... A lie can not live forever.....you have a great day sir....

Yes lose about 6 kids and already be unbeaten.Too bad for the kids on the team.Wonder if any will move out of the zone they are in and play for other teams?

They would  have to  move out of Shelby county. Charter schools don't have a specific "zone" just like Magnet schools so the entire county is included in their drawing area.

They did too investigated...Nobody understood that they wasted alot of people time and taxpayers money. As for Teli good question, I heard he is working on a "Tell All Book". He went to 4 state championships appearances...I wanna read what he has to say.

Ha! “Tell all Book”. He had a chance to tell all when TSSAA called him. They did not investigate.

You're right, he did have every reason to lie... he could have lied and kept his job, he could have lied and been Principal of a school that won state, and he could have lied and saved face with the public. He instead chose to tell the truth, and it cost him his job to do so. List your reasoning of what the man had to gain by trashing his own school. Teli pretty much ran the school because football has more meaning to the public in Memphis than character and academics, and he was placed upon a pedestal because he had assembled a great team. Damning evidence in the form of the players transcripts was found on Teli's own computer. I have much respect for the Principal and the lady secretary who lost their jobs for outing the situation... I wonder how many would have the fortitude to do the right thing if they stood to lose as much.

He did not run the school. Im guessing when they spend a half a million to investigated to turn up a bunch of nothing. Again a lie can not live forever. the principal was a joke he cared for those students just as much as you do sitting behind a screen typing your opinion.  Nevertheless you have a great day....

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
