No dog in this fight, but you don't know General very well do you?

I have to give "The Devil" his due.  The General sticks by his team.  He has been on here for years when there aren't many posters for Forrest High.

You can add to that fact that kids are off limits... rag the posters if you'd like, we "signed up" for this, and most can take whatever you can dish out. Welcome to the 'T. There are many good folks with some amazing insight and wit here if you want to stay and play along. If you want to slur folks or rail about a kids flaws, stick to facebook.

I just want to make something clear with the #7 playing QB after reading a couple of post. My opinion the young man is a very good player that is a lot like the young man from Summertown. He is no Swafford or Goldsmith but he makes their offense a little better at the QB position. Parsons beat us on the line and we never really adjusted on defense. We just got out played by the whole team not just the kid playing QB.

Your exactly right. Not taking anything Away from him just Saying he makes the right reads and manages the game well. No world beaters here just a team effort

  • IF Forrest coaches can keep the Mr Football 2A finalist under control this team might make it all the way-he cost this team many games over the last several seasons but seems to be on his best behavior this year

The above are the two posts @CoachT

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
    • They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
