Not sure what's going on with the discipline there but the penaltys really hurt them last week.

I would find it very hard to believe Hartsfield would be let go. Made it to quarterfinals. Hasn't done anything unprofessional. Sounds like a bunch of sour grapes or hurt feelings.

Hartsfield is a good coach. I'm sure he has much to learn as all good coaches do. He has already done a lot to improve the program at Blackman.

Nothing is going to happen. Kit is not over his head, despite what others may think

Agree...he's not going anywhere.  Our discipline hurts us and we have gotten several unsportsmanlike and personal foul penalties all year.  We had way too many penalties against wilson central, but it didn't hurt us cause we were much better than them.  Our kids play with a lot of enthusiasm and sometimes we just get overboard, but it helps us in some cases.  Coach Hartsfield ain't going no where, although, I do hope he makes a few staff changes.  Our offense was just bad at times this year.

It may be problematic for Justus to hire a coach, if she let’s go of Hartsfield.  That would be three football coaches she has fired in her short tenure of almost 6 years.  Now, I am not saying that all of them didn’t deserve it, just would fail the sight test.

Kit needs to be left alone.

Think about it.  This is his first Head Coach job.  Got to get experience and he will be fine.  Also some GOOD assistants.  That takes time also.

I will say he should be fine after he kicks butt on his assistants and gets new ones where needed.

Hartsfield lost 5 games this year, and was beaten by his cross town rival by a combined score of 57 points.  Don’t think Watson lost any games by this amount.

Lost by a combined 43 points to Oakland in 2017, so not far off. Blackman had losses to Alcoa, Ravenwood, Indy and Oakland. Nearly beat both Alcoa and Ravenwood. Not many teams would play that schedule and not lose 4-5 games themselves

Here is my only two cents worth. I think to be fair when looking at records and coaching you have to look at the Talent that existed when Watson was there and now with Kit

Watson Teague, Murphy, Jordan Brown, Trey Knox, Joeseph Sewell, Amauri Burks,Miller Armstrong, And the kicker Burkes   and a half dozen other very talented players  all at the same time ... this is not a slap at Watson because I admire him and have great respect for him. 

Kit had a couple of those players as well as Elder, as his best team from a talent perspective. 

I think Justus saw it as you have more raw talent than half a dozen sunbelt teams and did not win the games that matter. I think it will be a long climb back for Blackman with Rockvale now in the zone, and expect them to be competitive in the next 2 years, They will have a team that is loaded with talent who spent 4 years playing ball against  the Blackmans Oaklands and Riverdales...
