What happened to Upperman at Westmoreland?

Westmoreland beating Upperman by 12 was a surprise. Any details?

I'm not hearing about it much either for whatever reason. From the blurb in the paper it sounds like they weren't in it from the beginning. And no comments here is surprising too.

Not sure what happened that game.  But I watched Westmoreland play a couple weeks ago at a play day in Lebanon.  They beat Mt Juliet like a drum.  I think they also beat Dickson County the next game but I didn't see the end of that game.   I was shocked by the margin of this game but not the outcome.

Upperman is ok/solid, but not great by any means. too many holes and no depth/bench . besides Macon ,8-AA is extremely equal and anybody's game. Definitely will come down to coaching.

I saw the York girls against Cumberland County. They were supposed to be down but I thought they were better than last year. They played great defense and were much more disciplined. They hammered Cumberland County. They won't be the best team in the district but they aren't down from last year if this first game was any indication.

UHS will be fine. Macon lost a few early games last season trying to gel. Lost big to UHS the first meeting then hit their stride. I expect UHS to do the same.

Agree. They bounced back nicely tonight already.

Did Mt juliet's big girl play? She was a beast this summer and got hurt against us at MTSU. Never heard if she was OK or not.

I don’t remember seeing a really good big girl so probably not.   They lost bad both games.

Emma Palmer is out for the season for Mount Juliet.... and without her, they aren't very good....

You would have remembered her if she played. 6'2 or 6'3 and dominated the low post. She was their team.
