Swafford had  23 carries for 77yds. That’s under 3.5 per carry. TC defense did a good job containing him from hitting the big one. He made the keys plays when he needed to make them.  Evenly matched teams with great front 7 play from both.

talked to the Oneida coach and he didn’t think anyone could hold #19 under 100 yds in the ground

This effort talk is crazy. And RTD are we sure they were the better team? Yea they made 1 more play but from what i saw and heard it looked like 2 evenly matched teams and I would guess if we replayed this game 10 times it would be 5-5.
Meigs go surf the Tide to the Gold!

No doubt they were evenly matched. The lack of kicking game became an advantage for Meigs tonight. TC couldn’t stop the heavy package and that proved to be the difference

wow looks like me and my partner chose the wrong game. I told him Alcoa had it in the bag but he just had to go see their facilities. Congrats to Meigs.

Bud He seems to be dodging questions. Either he was a Houdini/ Barry Sanders type player or the Waterboy.

No, I'm talking about the real stats. H2O has given up 20 points in 5 games. Even though I would take Watertown defense over Meigs and Oneida any day better coach defense. TC is ranked 3rd in state in all classification in the state. TC starting defense has given up around 23points all year In regular season only 26 in the playoffs.Oneida and Meigs defense isn't in same category as TC . Meigs gave up how many yo a Oneida team that TC would beat by at least 3 TD’s.

TC did have a really good defense, but Meigs proved that they have one just as good. That was a good game by both teams.

We strung it out nice and didn’t give him the edge he just made good cuts and one guy wasn’t getting him down

Good post my friend, we were on the receiving end of it last year. We know how you feel. It was a great effort from both teams. The second half of the game was so much different than the first. Was exciting and anyones ballgame till the end. Congratulations for the heart, grit, and determination shown by both teams.

After the first half I thought whomever scores first wins. But both teams mad adjustments and that was a great game. I told the Meigs kids congrats now go beat Peabody and of of Meigs lineman said we will beat Peabody for TC. I hope you’ll get that gold ball. Looking at Meigs is like seeing a mirror image of TC a small town where football is life and we’re you all about pounding that ball and playing defense. Swafford was just to much this year and he has hit that weight room like crazy since last year. Congrats Yeti you’ll enjoy this experience next Saturday I will be pulling for Meigs next Saturday.

Not to discredit your opinion but I do believe Meigs has a much harder offense to stop and scheme against. TC is basically 1 dimensional. Much easier to play against that style of offense in my opinion.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
