The blah blah blah, is that you have been spanked by a Rutherford County team in recent history (2018).

Oh no !! LoL Maybe you should take another look at that leaderboard up above if you’re thinking because Maryville got beat in 2018 they should hang their head . Rutherford county could only dream about what Maryville has actually done . I do find it humorous that someone is wanting to bring up 2018 when anybody from Maryville who brings up our history is accused of living in the past .

They have to hang on to something lol cause they sure don’t have anything to brag about this season.

Hold on one minute there hoss. No doubt Maryville is a great team, but how soon we forget a 38-0 thumping in late November 2018.

Last season is over. It was one game in the last 18 years. Maryville lost a game to a great team. But that doesn't discount what the rebs have done over the last 18 years.

My statement is still true- Blount county doesn't have the population of Memphis , Rutherford co., Chatt. Nashville or Knox, yet BC has dominated the football in the state over the last two decades. Great coaches, incredibly hard working kids and community support all contribute to the success.

I'm not a Maryville guy, but I'll give credit where its due.

I like Oakland. They have 15 points and stand at fourth in 6A all time.

6-A-2019-NEW.png

The points are as follows: Gold=10, Silver=5

Maryville: 75

Whitehaven: 30

Ravenwood: 20

Oakland: 15

White Station: 10

Three tied with 5

I get it, you should be proud of all of Maryville’s success on the football field. Keep in mind, however, what goes around comes around.

Clinton was president the last time they weren't in the semi-finals, I think they'll manage. They're not going away any time soon

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December;
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor...

Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
“Sir,” said I, “or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
    But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
    And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you”—here I opened wide the door;—
            Darkness there and nothing more.

    • there will be a couple of teams,that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
