A few variables could move it up or down a few points. What weight is Eason going to be at 120-126? Do we have a HWT this week? No idea on those two questions. I also believe that If Baylor’s lineup is at full strength, they will demolish everybody. If they have everybody at weight vs Bradley they can name their score Edited December 10, 2019 by fooseball95

That will make the score better but it will still be a one sided affair. Baylor has definitely recruited some very good kids. I am curious to see what happens when they get Blair and Wyoming Sem later in the season. Will they be competitive at that level because ultimately that is the measuring stick for programs that recruit for wrestling.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t always see eye to eye with Scott but I have put together and COACHED teams with him. You might not know him as a coach because he was traveling and coaching out of state something you should maybe think about trying. Been there, done that while you were still in middle school. When you get older and have a family of your own your priorities change. My child is not even in the sport and I'm only focused on building one program. I'm not saying that he hasn't done anything for TN wrestling because he has done a lot, but coaching isn't part of it. While Baylor is really good for Tennessee they are no where near the level of Blair Academy or Wyoming Seminary at the present time. If they continue to recruit at the level they have been then you will see Baylor slowly close the gap.

I have heard this topic surface on many occasions and have to laugh a little- I am sorry, but if you are a private school you have to recruit all students or else you do not have a school! I have been on the board of a private school and trust me, you have to recruit at ALL levels (Academically, Athletically, the Arts, etc....) or you can't fill the seats, or your teams! Often it is a great coach, or a very involved parent that helps to drive the effort and this is the mission of ALL private schools (academically, athletically, etc....)- and if you think your school is not "trying" to recruit, then you are mistaken....and if they are not trying to recruit, then that is a mistake of your coach and school, and that school may consider making a change in leadership. So, the word "recruit" is used and OK to be used in the Private School DII setting, or else you would not have a school.....these schools are "recruiting" ALL students ALL YEAR long! Sorry to tell you that, but been involved with the school for 10+ years and no "recruiting" being done. So, just because you have seen it, does not make it the case for all. I would agree 100% with what you are saying. Those that say private school X does not recruit are the same ones that will debate the definition of recruiting. When a school, public or private opens their doors to the public and host an open house/academic viewing they are recruiting. Just a few years ago one D2AAA boarding school had two students on academic scholarship that were also nationally ranked in Cross Country. Per the TSSAA rules they were not allowed run for their high school in regular season or post season school events. However, they were permitted to run in the top level regional and national events. The private school had recruited those two students for their academics not athletics.
fooseball95
I don’t care what anybody says, if you offer some sort of financial aid you are recruiting point blank period.
