At the present time, nearly 30% of TSSAA's annual support is spent on insurance coverage on students, coaches and TSSAA staff. Between 30-40% of expenditures annually go toward services for schools and officials, conducting tournaments, awards and educational programs. This also includes legal fees and general operating expenses. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So ciphering through that between 60-70% of the total plus a portion of the "nearly 30%" goes to TSSAA staff? What exactly is nearly 30%? What insurance is covered for Students and coaches? What percentage of the "nearly 30%" is for TSSAA staff? Why do you group TSSAA staff in with students/ coaches? Someone needs to ask their administration for a copy of this: Each September, administrators of TSSAA member schools receive a full copy of the financial statements for their review. Good luck with that... as a non profit organization, all TSSAA's finances are supposed to be categorized as public knowledge (accessible to the general public). Try and find out the salaries of the administrators if you're feeling adventurous.

That way you’d have to guess what individuals made.

One of the teachers, with a camera, as she does all season was the one doing it. Any NFHS (SBP) school may broadcast a playoff game provided that game has not been slated for NFHS broadbast. Those school broadcasts must primarily use students in the production under the direct or indirect supervision of teachers. If the school in question is not a NFHS (SBP) member and does not meet the other requirements, such a broadcast is subject to the right fee charged by the TSSAA. Based on the information you provided to me, your schools broadcast does not meet the NFHS (SBP) requirements and are subject to the rights fee charged. It may not be the answer you were hoping for, but I hope my explanation helped you to understand. For further details, you may go to the TSSAA website and search for media broadcast regulations for complete rulings on postseason video internet broadcasts.
