If a broken bone isn't protruding through the skin, wrap the area tight and get back out there.  :roflol:

I once broke a finger in a game, so the coach had the assistant coach put half a popsicle stick on it and wrap it with tape, then told me I needed to go to the hospital and have it set AFTER the game.

Haha my buddy dislocated his finger I set it for him on the sideline

My Dad was a double Silver Star recipient in the First Infantry Division during World War 2, and they were trained and equipped to fix their own wounds on the field of battle unless there was a Medic nearby.  After that game where I broke the finger, I told Dad I needed to go the ER to have it looked at. My Dad looked at it said I didn't need to go to no stinking hospital, so he attempted to align the break himself and wrap it tight with tape. I was only allowed to facially grimace with pain, but no verbal sound or passing out was allowed.
You should see that finger now - as crooked as a dog's hind leg.

I was raised around my uncle. Big, mean sucker but treated me like his own. One day, I took his motorcycle out without permission, hit a pothole  and slid it down the road. Tore my side,  knees and elbows UP! Called him and he came home. Clothes covered in blood, I figured I needed a Dr...He took a tire brush and bottle of alcohol and scrubbed the asphalt out of the wounds,  ripped up a t shirt, wrapped me up and said, "That'll do.  Thats what you get for disobeying to me".  A person would go to prison these days

    • Tough situation.  Not sure the ROI is there right now.   Might be better options that are cheaper.
    • Yeah summer ball is really fun, but a lot of coaches are trying to play several kids to get much needed reps that they are not accustomed to. I would imagine Gibson County will have lots of players playing to get much needed reps. Want to win games but got to get experience as well and the rotation will be much deeper. I will be at MTSU, UTM Bethel and others. MTSU is the one I really look forward to.
    • So who are the new additions to the staff? Serious answers only please.
    • Its always interested to see the state teams the following summer after losing or not losing seniors and getting freshman and transfers. It's almost time.
    • Maryville has Alcoa on the schedule at the right time of the season which helped last year instead of at the first of the year not knowing much. West will be hard pressed to repeat this year but next will be a different story.
