Who would get your vote(s) for the honor and why?

  Frost has to be considered.

Puckett did a fantastic job, but has been "right there" with talent for three years.

Jacobs won it back to back... was it talent or coaching? Also has the best group of assistants in the state.

Houston County has had a fantastic turnaround from years of mediocrity... Crawford is the reason, right?

Summertown and Eagleville are programs on the rise, but probably a year away from their respective coaches getting recognition.

Just a few thrown out there to think about, but all deserving consideration from the west in my opinion.

Frost with what he done in post season most definitely should be considered imo

Puckett. Was ranked 4th all year.Beat most team by running clock .Beat 2 4A schools that made the playoffs,a 3A and and a 2A that made the playoffs.Beat an undefeated Huntingdon team that was ranked 2nd most of the year and then finished it off beating Greenback for the title .Once the playoffs starterd ,most people had LC as the 4th best team entering the playoffs,at least in their minds.Only a few from our area had them winning. But statewide, nobody had seen them guys except some on film and then ,it was defense wasn't good enough.Snyder couldn't throw.Greenback will pass all over them. So,I'd say Coach Puckett    15-0 !

Puckett would get my vote.   His staff had to game plan against two of the most potent offenses in the State on back to back weeks.   Greenback and Huntingdon were night and day in their offensive scheme, but equally as impressive.    That's tough to work a scout team for Huntingdon one week and Greenback the following Friday.   Very impressive.

My first choice would be Lake County's Coach Puckett.  Awesome season.  I enjoyed watching them play in Cookeville.   They carried themselves very well that day and kept their eye on the prize all season.

My 2nd choice would be Coach Jacbos at Peabody.  Yes,  they had a talented team and were the favorite since this time last year.  When the target is squarely on your back you get everyone's best shot.  Back to back 2A titles and the longest current winning streak in the state.
