TKA is the real deal.  They drive hard to the basket and cause fouls.  Goodpasture shot multiple threes and did not drive nearly as often.  TKA is very fundamental and very well coached.  They have three guards who are skilled and can play.  Outstanding team!

The King's Academy has punched their way to the state championship game with a 62 to 45 win over Goodpasture.

Stats from the game show that Goodpasture hit one more field goal and three more three-point shots than TKA. From the free throw line, TKA was 23 of 36 while Goodpasture was ONLY 5 of 7 from the free throw line. Four out of five Goodpasture starters found out of the game.

TKA will face the winner of the TCA v TRA game on Saturday at noon for the state championship

they shot 21 in last 211.   don't try to play the refs card.      goodpasture was in the bonus first in 2nd half.

Just giving the stats of the game. It was interesting to know that Goodpasture had one more field goal than TKA. Nevertheless, video shows that TKA is a very good basketball team. It should be a very interesting championship game whomever they play

I watched the game and the officials did a great job I thought. TKA attacked and was the more aggressive team. That is the reason the foul discrepancy. I picked Goodpasture to win the game, but TKA was very impressive. Good win for TKA.

Hmmmm.  Did you watch the game?  Goodpasture fouled like crazy in the 4th quarter.  Look to see how many were FT attempts were in the 4th?

TKA may not win the Championship, but then again, no one west of Knoxville gave them a chance to even get to State.  Proud for the girls.

    • Yeah, we came up short. I remember we threw a ball over the middle to #5 Guymon? and he came up short of the sticks. Gave em he&& for a bit though.
    • Doe dee doe doe…..hmmmmmmm one of those players can run faster than my lawnmower when I put it in 5th gear turbo.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
