I knew you guys weren’t very smart... You’re essentially playing for the Region Championship and you’re going to add all the distraction that comes with homecoming???

Ask Forrest about the last time someone scheduled H2O for homecoming...

Coach I had use to say “Big potatoes always rise to the top!” And I’ll be honest. The sign with all the years on it at the city limits here....they ain’t for region championships.

So you are saying that your kids are not interested in winning the Region Championship?

@TCRadio I don’t care how many rewards your school gets... Post like these along with my experiences with you folks confirms my suspicions that you guys aren’t very smart.

Well the younger generations of Trousdale County are wiser than the past ones. And @biggest we have our halftime guest, but I’ll be glad to chat it up with you guys pregame.

History Lesson

Yeti, here is a link to Jim B. Satterfield's credentials. He is TC Supt. of School's Clint Satterfield's father and current HC Blake's grandfather. He became HC in TC in 1962 and turned the lead role over to Clint in 1984 but stayed on staff until he passed in 1996. His record as HC was 185-54-2 with 1 title ('72 AA) and 3 runner-ups ('73-'75 AA). I know the TSSAA has some different info but i believe the first several years he was an assistant in name. Never the less, he is in the HOF.

To make this relevant to this thread, my records show him as being 8-2 vs Watertown based on what i have collected thus far.

Quite the shadow he casts lol.

All joking aside... H2O didn’t need anymore motivation, but guess what... you guys just gave it to them!

As for the TC kids and they are still kids... you can’t tell me all the stuff that goes a long with homecoming will not be a distraction, even with what I’m assuming will be a milder version of homecoming due to the COVID junk.

Will your guys rise above it... maybe, but I would of definitely found a better week to get it done if I’m the administration for TC!

You guys aren’t very smart, but you do know football and I don’t think Clint would’ve let them schedule this week as homecoming!

I don't know if it's homecoming or not (nothing on my ole facebook has shown homecoming activities) but if it is, it wouldn't be the first time that the biggest game on the schedule was selected for Homecoming. Homecoming in TC is not for the Football team but rather the student body. The football team has zero involvement with the ceremonies.

I know nothing of this being Homecoming, but as you said homecoming pretty much just means an extended halftime for the football team.

Sounds like you all did it to distract H20. :popcorneater:

    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
