Any new schools coming on board that have yet to apply for TSSAA membership?  I remember a few years back a few out of the Memphis area were added AFTER the classifications were set.  Seems like they were added the following week when everything got finalized but were not counted as part of the number of schools used to split the classes evenly.

Who knows. It's not always immediately clear what sports such schools will offer or when they'll start. It causes some headaches I'm sure.

I believe City graduated it biggest senior class since it opened last year.  The old NGA school is now Lincoln academy or something like that.  I believe they have a coop deal with LC.  With no more Goodman here I know some have moved.  There are a couple of you Moore county guys that really have it in for City.  I bet if we are the only region 5 team left in the playoffs you root for the other team.

Everything will be completed and posted by the first week of November.  

So, maybe we'll get a glimpse of the classes the last week of Oct (or before) which will give schools one week to request to move up.  

Nov 12 meeting is when the BOC will approve it and finalize it.

Chattanooga Prep is building one class year at a time and will have 9th graders next year.  Their 8th grade football team was very competitive with much larger area middle schools in their first year of play and basketball has competed well last year when just 7th graders.  They would be a 1A school with their numbers.  If they keep the kids they had in 8th grade - in my opinion - by the time they are 10th graders they could compete with Sale Creek, Lookout Valley and this year's version of Whitwell. Not sure what their plans are in terms of JV schedule for 1st two years or just first year.

Of course like all other public middle schools around here - their premier athletes will be targets for McCallie, Baylor, CCS, Notre Dame, Boyd etc etc...

Haywood. Definitely Haywood. Last cycle they reported in the mid 800’s. Now they are at 635. Don’t pass the smell test. That’s almost a 25% drop. I may just be crazy though.
