That’s a rough road for Giles. I don’t know if they like traveling to Nashville but man to White House also. Also I would imagine WH and Heritage would rather play in then be in a district with us.

WH Heritage will play up to 4A like they have the last several years. The Patriots have a program on the rise, making the Playoffs last season (7-3, 7-4 after the Playoff Loss) and they have already clinched a spot for this year. Heritage should finish 8-2, but will likely have to travel West to Lexington for 1st Round. I could also see WH playing up as well to 4A.

Wanna see something crazy? Look at 5A Region 7. How does Dyer County fit in that Region with the Clarksville Schools, Springfield & Henry County? I live in Springfield and I cover West Tennessee for work. Dyer County (Newbern) is over 3 hours away from Springfield High School. The rest of the schools are close enough, but Dyer County is too far for travel!

And, Ripley is not too bad either. Bolivar will need to upgrade their program to stay on the field with the others. What I like about this possible region is the history of these programs, the old rivalries that exist between these teams, and the potential for huge crowds once the pandemic is over.

My friend, STACMOT, has lots of historic information on the old Big Ten Conference that dominated West Tennessee football for thirty years. Maybe we can get him to share it on Coach T, since it appears that 5 of the original Big Ten teams may end up in the same region next year.

Trenton used to be in that old Big Ten conference. Heard many of stories about them days. Lots of smash mouth hard fought games in that era. Brownsville high and Jackson high was the team to beat in that conference if I’m not mistaken
