Well said! Lack of great leadership and pure common sense is lacking severely in this state and all around this country!!

You mean the CDC guidance and the Head of the CDC who was appointed by Trump in 2018. Man if you want it to go away you would think the President could put someone in power who could do so or maybe just maybe they are doing the right thing to help protect people who may be vulnerable,

Kids aren’t vulnerable! Not by a long shot. Massive overreaction with this contact tracing fiasco.

At Rockvale at a minimum it’s a handful of coaches. Not sure any players tested positive. It’s all still coming out. But players who have been around those coaches have to be quarantined too.

Yeah....that’s a real shame! Those kids deserve to play and finish their season. I feel terrible for them. Had a couple winnable games left too.

Yeah, CDC is infallible. It’s not like they put out contaminated Covid tests in February that were recalled and delayed US testing by a month. They’ve practically been a pillar of consistency with their contradictory and inconsistent guidelines.

Then why doesn’t the President fire the CDC director and put someone in charge to clean up the “fiasco”?

There is science around contact tracing, you may not like it but the science is there.

The science, with high school kids, is zero hospitalizations, mild to no symptoms, 1 to 2 days to recover if positive with symptoms. That’s the science. The problem I’ve seen personally is it’s a crap shoot who gets drawn into it and who doesn’t. Somebody in an office at the health department just makes decision on who was exposed and who wasn’t. Also, if a kid doesn’t have symptoms in a few days, let them move on and live life! The 10 to 14 day contact tracing jail is insane! It’s also emotionally brutal on kids as well as others. How are we going to treat the flu moving forward when kids are much more at risk? Quarantines? Contact tracing? Shutdowns?

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
