SS was up on us 14-9 only team besides Milan this season to have a lead on us at the half. We came out and wore them down, they have some athletes, but their Dline does get tired when you bring it to them every play

I didn't get to watch that game, but you are right, they do have some athletes. They held Lexington to a 3-3 game going to the half I think.

If the Jacket OL play with the same intensity like they did against Creek Wood watch out.

Best I can remember from the HC/SS game SS was not real big on D but did have speed. Tried to bring pressure with there linebackers every play and played there secondary to not get beat over the top. Had a couple of playmakers on offense that they used a lot

Southside has yet to string a whole game together. Last night might be the best game they've played this year. They can be very physical. They had some miscues against Hardin County, but then played Lexington very tough for a half.

Having said that, I've watched Springfield also. Jackets by 2 scores.

I’ve only watched them play against Haywood and they looked decent for about a quarter and half. Now granted Haywood gifted them 2 turnovers that allowed for 2 easy scores, and shot themselves in the foot multiple times with different things. Yet they still won convincingly. To me they don’t look very disciplined when they face adversity on either side of the ball.

No knock against SS they got some speed and a couple guys that can make a play. But imo they just don’t have the personnel to hang for 4qtrs with a good team.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
