Tullahoma had a special season but had not been tested.  Nolensville had to pull out 4th Quarter wins in 2 of their last 3.  That helped in clutch time.  Tullahoma looked tight most of the game.  Wow.  What an unbelievable run for this team.  They continued to grow all season.

That is a very big factor in tight games, congrats on the win and good luck next week...

Great football game.  When a team goes all season without being tested, you never really know how they will respond when they are.  NHS was able to bottle up Thomas most of the night and it looked like he got quite frustrated.  Special teams were the difference.  3 missed FGs for Tullahoma and the bad snap on a punt that led to the winning safety and a 99 yard KO return by Samson Johnson right after the one big Thomas play of the night to give Tullahoma their first lead.   Great season for Tullahoma and a lot of young players, they will be back.  Now for the rematch with Elizabethton!

Very Poor Offensive game plan for Tullahoma!

There didn't seem to be much of a Plan B with Nolensville keeping #2 contained.  The kid is going to make plays but only had 2-3 backbreakers on the night.  The Nolensville DL held up to Tullahoma's OL and there was little ground to be had when they tried to run up the gut with anyone else.  I can't remember more than 1 or 2 passes caught by anyone other than #2.  Kudos to Coach Derrick and his staff for solving the puzzle in 4 days.

Nolensville did a great job. Exposed the secondary of Tullahoma that opened up their run game.  Made Tullahoma cover the whole field.  Nolensville Line kept the rush off their QB most the night.

Tullahoma went to new formations and and plays but does not have the flexibility to adjust on the fly and change the routs on those formations.  QB running back and forth to the sideline all night to get plays.  Never seen that before.  Must not have been able to read signals for new plays..  Tullahoma scored twice on Offense and Nolensville once.  Poor game plan and poor adjustments for a round 3 ball game.  You have 4 receivers over 3 defenders and you don't run 3 deep and let 1 stand there?  How bad!  Can't adjust.  Video game stuff.  Can't adjust.  Coaches should feel sick over the game plan for Tullahoma.

The missed opportunities they had and never adjusted. They went pretty conservative, never worked the middle of the field, and relied on their defense. I know the defense only gave up one score, but the feeling thru the game, I never had the sense that the defense was in control. In doing so, they let a bad snap on a punt beat them.

    • That’s a good line. Wins would be Soddy, Howard, and Ooltewah. Maybe East Ham again or Knox Central. Tyner maybe but being that late in the year it’s hard to say. I don’t think we get by Red Bank this year.    Rhea could be anywhere from 2-8 to 6-4.
    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
    • during the 2nd round of the playoffs last year against Milan, Gray partially tore his meniscus. He had a minor repair around Thanksgiving. Recovery time was minimal and he has been full force for baseball this season.
    • What do ya’ll think the O/U will be? I would set the line at 2.5
    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
