Gordonsville will have to play four lights out quarters and capitalize on any mistakes the University of South Pittsburg makes. The winner of this game makes Cookeville imo. The Pirates best give their opponent respect or else they played their last game at the Speedway. The failure by the SP fans to properly support the Pirates has been lack lustered. sportman Posted November 14, 2020 Report Share Posted November 14, 2020 At the end of the day I think we win by 14-21 points. Will have to play better inspired football. Our Defense needs to learn this isn't touch or flag football. We're as good and dangerous as we want to be, just got to put it all on the line every game. I did see a few player's take some play's off last night that I'm sure will be discussed in the film room this week. Wish 7 and 28 were on the field for the defense a little more. It truly is amazing how much our players feed off the fans. Meigs game in the 3rd quarter fans go crazy and we start playing ball. Last night, late 3rd and early 4th fans get into it and we turn the energy up several levels. I guess at the Gordonsville game fas just going to have to get crazy from the get go. They had 36 yds 2nd half. 404 yds to 164 ....I think we. are spoiled a little as fans. My only concern last night were penalties and arm tackling in the1st half. I'll take the way we played the 2nd half any day of the week. The Captain wanted to prove a point 2nd half....Line it up and run straight at them. The Pirates have yet to play a complete game, that is very concerning. This fact lends creditably the Pirates are not capable. GV overcame home field advantage (7 pts) to win by a score, add GV home field advantage could arguably put the SP vs GV as a 7 point game! The Pirates given they could play a complete game, which have miserably failed to do the point spread complete vary.
