Bill Price is the new offensive coach at Whitwell with Rocky being head coach

Great combo pack. I guarantee you they will get every ounce of talent they can from every player. These guys know the game and I'm so glad to see an alumni like Rocky take over the HC position.  I'm excited to see what happens up there now. I guarantee you numbers will rise very fast up there. I'd say with in a couple years they will be very competitive again.

Any word on if Vic is staying or going. I know it’s been said both ways several times during the season.

He sure was good back in the day. Tough as nails. He’s been on the staff for awhile now.

I heard some talk that he’s ready to retire in this state and go out of state and that it’s not a matter of if he goes.. it’s just a matter of when. That could be now or a year from now is what I’ve heard.

To be honest I hear alot of different things at times. but this is one subject that I guess only Vic himself is keeping to himself. If anyone else knows it's some trusted friends for sure. Do I think I know what is going to happen? yes, but am I positive? No.  I looked at the roster from the team this week and I think I counted about 10 guys who played some last year that will make a huge impact this year. I think we have 3 or 4 young guys that are going to be studs the next 2-3 years. Could that be a factor in his decision? I know the west is loaded, but get to the championship game and anything can happen. Ask Brentwood Academy and South Pittsburg.

Gotcha. I know it’s not a certainty until it happens, just wasn’t sure if anything had been announced yet. After the season is over is usually when a planned move like that is made. I hadn’t heard one way or the other.

I’d say either way SP will continue to be SP.

Son is a freshman and he says they are already working hard I think back in wt room. He says players know that Coach Grider May come back and if he doesn’t Coach Wagner is gonna be the coach. So it is what it is. Got some good ones coming back and some good young ones coming up. I wonder when they are gonna release schedule? Anyone know?

    • That is absolutely not the truth.  Few if any college coaches or school administrators want to be in the middle of legal proceedings if there is any way possible to avoid being caught in the middle.  With that being said I have two questions: 1.  Why would a coach remove any player from the team for using the F WORD?  Yes, I fully understand the player must be held accountable for her actions.  Maybe extra running and even a one game suspension but if every kid or coach that used improper language was kicked on the team or fired, they would have no players or coaches available to play the games. 2.  If there was truly another player or coach that witnessed this situation, and they agree with the player then by all means the coach should be held accountable for their actions.
    • 1st round exit?        For real ?!?!?!                     Oh wait.....    are we talking band or football?
    • Assistant football staff still the same? Any replacement for Brian Beaubien? Who will be the DC? Will there be anything going on this spring with football? I go watch practice often.
    • Their feeder programs are in the best shape they've ever been.
    • The definition of what happened to the ex-coach is ambiguous. The school said they were going in a different direction and thanked her for her service as coach. Apparently, coaches in Warren County operate on one-year agreements of some type. Rumors are that she was asked to resign, and refused. Whatever happened, it appears that the school system did not renew the one-year agreement with the ex-coach to come back for another season. One and done tenure as coach. Stotts has been a guidance counselor at the high school in Warren County. Several years ago, the former girls coach who is now an AD and assistant principal dismissed Stotts from his staff on the first day of the season. That reality made the hiring of Stotts a mystery to many people in Warren County.
