Jetjock.... great to see you... been kinda quite year and change... Divorce will take the wind out of your sails, but I have been blessed to have some good folks in my corner and a great church to lean on and into. I would sure love to see you all before the game if you reckon we could all meet for a burger.... Be safe.. God bless..

FBE, the parents had the link to buy tickets on MONDAY.

If they didn't get one, it is because they didn't make it a priority.

They were made readily available, and Oakland shouldn't have to distribute them evenly...MHS didn't do that all year. Just ask Alcoee.

The 25% interpretation is the problem. Oakland’s Ray Hughes Stadium is wide open with plenty of extra room for portables. All the RuCo schools seem to be listed lower than what you would think for how large and relatively flat it is inside the fence. Not blaming Oakland or RuCo schools, but the TSSAA should have put some portable bleachers on the track curve or across the end zone while still adhering to the 25% standard. This is public school 6A, think outside the box just a little.

The TSSAA didn’t give any to the home or away teams. All tickets are sold digitally through gofan.

Thanks for your timely clarification.  I obivilousy meant that the TSSAA allocated the number of tickets to be sold online by both schools, and then the rest to be sold to anyone.

Really? Explain please.

I am thinking back to the year in which Maryville beat Oakland with a field goal toward the end of the game, and someone on Marryville's line obvioulsy jumped, yet the officials somehow did not see it. Of course there was a couple of plays before that where the QB completed a critical pass play for a first down, the only issue was that his knee was down prior to releasing the ball. When you play Maryville at Maryville not only do you have to beat a pretty good team, you also have to beat the zebras.  Hope this helps you understand.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
