I think our line can decide this game for us. Looked really good getting the Initial block and getting to the second level against WC. I think we should be able to get outside on them if they come out in the same defense that I have seen from them. I think the key will be limiting big plays. If we turn this in to a grind it out kind of game then LC should be fine.

Good luck on getting outside on FC, they have great speed ..

Thanks  .They have done very well over the years for being a true Single A school that hasnt backed down from playing the Trentons,Union Citys,Crockett co,like some of the other true Single A schools also in our region.Id rather lose and go 8 and 2 and lose to a Trenton or Westview or Union City than go 10 -0 and play cupcake central and lose in first round.Plus rather see a good football game and lose than win against weaker opponents.Sometimes it can bite you though if LC were to lose a couple games in the region and tie and then it comes down to wins and losses.Im glad for the schedule LC plays. And with Trenton coming down, means we all will play them.Wonder with McKenzie dropping down, how many Single A teams in our region will play them.Teams that are much closer to them than LC.Id say none of them.They.d rather pick up a win and longer drive and go to Middleton.

Huntingdon got McKenzie and Peabody both next year

Yes but yall are Double A now.Im really talking about Greenfield,Gleason,South Fulton. They have to play Trenton now but would they schedule McKenzie who is in the other region and Dresden or play Fulton Co,Perry Co or Middleton just to hopefully get a win.We all see It helped the once beaten regular season champs,Greenfield  during the season but hurts when they played a tougher team in the playoffs.

I expect a big part of this game will be how well the teams adjust to the opponent. Considering they have little schedule overlap hard to gauge what the other is like until you lineup. Most likely what one or both had planned to do going in won't pan out and they'll need to make changes. Should be a good one. Btw, tickets available now

I just watched the game,

lake county by two scores

The defense in that game is not the same that will be used this Friday I'm sure.  Moore was very pass heavy.  LC seems the opposite.  I would expect to see a 5 or 6 man front with lots of speed at linebackers and secondary.  LC may move the ball some on their end of the field or midfield but as the field shrinks I think our speed will force some turnovers on downs.  Not knocking LC but looking at their schedule and the game last week I don't see them stopping our run game.  That offense you guys run is something we have not seen.  That could be a problem early with all the misdirection but Coach Morson and his staff will be prepared and know how to adjust.  GO TIGERS!

LC throws the ball pretty well. LC has not been turnover prone this year. LC line play seems better than Fayetteville from what I've seen of them. Fayetteville will not have a big advantage in the speed department at all. LC does not have 7 kids that run a 4.4 like some teams claim to have but they do not lack in the speed department. I may be wrong but I do not think Fayetteville will just line up and run it down LCs throat. This game will come down to scheme and in game adjustments and of course line play. Penalties and turnovers will go along way in determining the winner. I don't know if this will make a difference or not but these LC seniors are about to play in their 4th semifinal game. They have lost 4 games in their high school career. All of them have played alot of football over the last 4 years and they will not be fazed by the big game environment. I am not big into making predictions but if LC plays up to their ability then they will be fine.

I believe so too. That RB y’all got is something else. He can make anyone miss and when y’all stretch to boundary the speed is there to out run anyone

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
