Its exciting watching our kids become men before our eyes and sad when they leave. But we we are proud of them.Congrats :thumb:

It will be sad when he leaves but never thought he would have a chance to play football in college at any level . His 1st start was against GP when he was 14 in 2018. He was so nervous before the game. He was sitting on a bench at the locker room before warmups and that leg was just a shaking.

Had to mess with you. I actually think Avery would of been a good game for you as much as they throw the ball. I don’t know if the next QB can sling it like Hoilman though.

Every school in western nc wants to play Avery County , next to Madison county worst program in western highlands conf.

Went to couple Hampton games, very solid team well coach.  Very physical playing style , if they can work on their overall team speed this coming year, they have chance at championship.

Yep got to improve in a few areas for sure, off season training is going really well. Think we will be improved .

That’s awesome. Is it as a punter.

I would think so but I don’t actually know. He’s a good back but not sure about SEC caliber. I’m sure wherever he goes they can find a creative way to use him with his athletic ability. I think that’s what makes him stand out in a sea of really talented punters is he is a true athlete. It gives you an actual 11th defender on punt cover and in a fake or botched punt situation he is obviously a pretty good RB as well. Just thought it was cool. Love seeing the small schools in this sticks get a little power 5 attention :thumb:

That was my thinking to. There is so many ways you could use Morgan as a punter. Hopefully he will go to TN.

    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
    • I think they have they coach they want close to being done. I guess we will all see how this plays out. I hope the hire a good one. There are some players in the box for the next coach to work with.
    • Going to grundle Troy Fleming?
    • I agree I don't think it will go to trial either, but I feel like that will be because no judge would deem this to warrant a law suit... If the school board settles, they loose and all coaches and schools loose too.
