I honestly dont care why you guys moved up. It was probably a combination of what you said and I said.   I came to a conclusion based on the evidence. So just because you have to much pride to admit Alcoa may have contributed to the decision I’m gossiping.

Yeah they don’t need to act like they weren’t avoiding Alcoa because we know better. Don’t blame them though. Not same rules and uneven playing field.

Ok Pioneer. You and I know each other. I have a lot of respect for you and your family. So I will ask you the same thing I ask Tide21. What evidence to you have to support your arguement that Milan played up to avoid Alcoa?  I provided evidence where Diffee was quoted in the Milan paper for saying it was to have fewer non region games to schedule ( which is true if you look at the proposed regions at the time they were released), less travel by not having to go to Millington and Bolton, and bigger gates by having South Gibson, Crockett and Haywood versus Ripley, Bolton and Millington. Please tell me you have evidence other than the whole Milan is scared of the boogeyman theory??  Tide21 says his opinion was based on evidence but didn’t provide any. Can you??  I just don’t want to call a coaches word and integrity into question with no proof. I believe what he says. Just like I believe what Jacobs says about why they chose to play down in 1A. Someone please provide proof.

I know a big time alumni that told me personally. I trust him. Milan will never admit dodging an opponent, but it is true. If it will make you feel better, Peabody would do the same. Hard to beat a team that runs their school like a college and you can’t. Can we agree on that?? Milan would have minimum 2-3 more Gold Balls if it weren’t for Alcoa.

We can agree on that. For what it’s worth I would take the word of the coach over the word of an alum any day. Heck I talk to Diffee on a daily basis. Lol. But I get where you are coming from.

Here is where you contradict yourself. You mention look at Peabody’s schedule. Not wanting to have to pay Memphis teams and having fewer non region games to fill. I said literally the same thing two days ago and you said we moved to run from Alcoa. Yes you said you were sure there were other reasons but 95% of them were Alcoa. Truth be told schools during reclassification can declare to move up at any time. Jacobs and Diffee both waited to see the potential regions and then made a decision based on travel and money. None of it had to do with Playing lesser competition In Peabody’s case and running from Alcoa in Milan’s case. It’s just plain silly to think otherwise.

Is Milan paying Manassas week 2?

Kinda Contradicting.

How?  I’ve said all along (and the coach has too) that we would rather not have to go to Memphis and play close games. This way we play 1 instead of 3. Seems like a no brained. I don’t know who your team is but would you rather go to Memphis 1 or 3 times?  Nothing contradictory at all.

The comment was one of the reasons Peabody goes down and Milan goes up was so they don’t have to pay a Memphis team yet one of those teams is playing a Memphis team. That’s contradicting.

You misunderstood. Peabody went down because they were tired of paying Memphis teams. Milan went up because they didn’t want to have to play Bolton in Millington in the region. It wasn’t about paying them. This way we only have to pay one Memphis team because we couldn’t fill out our schedule. Had we have stayed in 3A we would’ve had to of paid Manassas anyway played Bolton and Millington and still had to find another game.

    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
