So just to offer some clarification. The TSSAA said no scrimmages with other teams during spring ball. They have not (yet) made a determination on fall practice prior to the season. They will very shortly I’m sure. Most coaches are going ahead and scheduling the scrimmages as normal in anticipation of being allowed to. It’s better to have them scheduled and have to cancel than to be searching at the last minute. I anticipate that they will be allowed to. I think the main reason they didn’t allow it in the spring was to minimize the risk of covid effecting spring sports. Being that spring sports were canceled the prior year, I think the tssaa wanted to do everything they could to ensure those kids got to play and so they limited the contact in football. Just my two cents.

They will be scrimmaging I would bet. Looking forward to it.

Tide Nation as we get close to our season kickoff against the 4a Milan DawgBoys I am looking at this schedule and wondering the following!

1. Will this benefit our fellas playing all these big schools ?

2. Are injury risks increased by playing up to this level ?

3. Do we or should we care about the streak at this point ? This schedule will most likely leave us with  a “L”. !

4. Why does BPM smell like BenGay and Tangerines everytime I see him ? Is there a market for big ole boys strippin ? And am I part of the alphabet community jus for being friends with BPM ?

5 Y’all did t believe this post was serious did ya?

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
