It was not also some random boy that attacked him it was the coach’s son. If it was the coaches son (not an Arlington student) and a few players then they should be punished. If the coach knew about it then she should be fired. Kids that had nothing to do with it don't deserve to lose two years of post season because of the idiotic action of others. I got paddled weekly (probably more) in 3rd grade because our teacher thought the wrong doing of a few kids warranted everyone in class to get 3 licks. I lost all dances (homecoming, spring, winter etc..) in high school my junior year because 2, yes 2 people came to a dance drunk and got caught. The whole school (800+) students were punished. Collective punishment is a tactive of dictarors, tyrants, and terrorist. It is actually a war crime. It is also seen, by many, as intimidation. It is never the answer.

What people don’t realize is these lawsuits cost money and it is hurting the TSSAA and the member schools. As much as I dog the TSSAA, they are in the right in this one and the James Wiseman case. Arlington & Collierville is not considered Memphis (cities located in Tennessee)

Joyful95
Judge rules in Arlington's favor. Now Collierville is appealing that decision.

They (Arlington) should not be allowed to play. End of discussion.

Onetownguy
So wonder if the TSSAA can come down with penalties since the judge just basically reset them. Just suspend the Arlington Coach and Players involved for 1 year. And Arlington can't host a home game for a year since they can't provide protection to opposing teams and coaches.

Don't act like the people of Newbern aren't just a silly as this too. The whole reason that DCHS and Dyersburg don't play anymore are because of stupity similar to this. Remember ber 2003 when there was a fight at DCHS against Obion County? It all started over a racial slur. What did the TSSAA do then? They only suspended the players invovled. That was an actual fight with players from both teams, on the court, after the game and teams were shaking hands. 2007 Season Dyer County loses to Liberty at Liberty in a very early season game. DC tore the bathroom stall doors off and did other damage to the Liberty bathroom. TSSAA did nothing. This whole attitude can be the majority of West TN. So let's just start calling anything between the Mississippi and Tennessee rivers Memphis. It occurred after the game and not because of anything that happened during the game. Was planned and facilitated by coach and team members. Was not a fight between teams. It was a preplanned assault. One in which criminal charges were filed. Those committing crime claim victim. There is no comparison. Keep quaking. WestTNroundball
Just makes the TSSAA looks powerless. What is this teaching the kids but you don’t have consequences for your actions.
