Creasy doesn't tell his players that, he would like for the players to lift with football on non game days for basketball/baseball. But which coach wouldn't. Not sure what basketball coaches you’re referring to, but I’ve never experienced that and I’ve been a ton of places.

Schools that have a successful all around sports program work with the athletes to make sure that they get in their lifting. Why not lift before school or during a study hall period and that way there is not interference with multi sport athletes.

Most schools should be able to accommodate other sports with lifting during the day or before school, some schools and some students can't do that so that's where the lift with the football team comes in, but very good point. I have coached in many places as well and totally agree. A team I coached went to the final 4 with 9 of our top 11 playing football. A different school went to the elite 8 with 10 of our top 11 playing football. In all fairness though except for the weightlifting part after football is over, football is rarely impacted at all with guys playing basketball, but basketball is impacted a large amount depending on how far the football team goes in the playoffs, but still I am all for my guys playing both as I think it helps us on the basketball court to have multiple football guys on our team.
