It was a good game, very physical. I wouldn’t call it an upset. This district is wide open. Cumberland traveled to Macon on Friday then Livingston on Saturday. That’s two long trips back to back.

If they continue playing defense like they did against LA, they'll be a huge threat in the tournament. Those long bodies can create a lot of matchup problems!

Cumberland’s biggest issue is consistent coaching. They are on their 3rd Coach in 3 years. The girls are swapping systems every year and it takes a while to get going. Hopefully Torres stays for longer than a few years.

Yes after first round.

Region at Tullahoma.

How is the District Tournament going to be set up Double Byes or Straight up (2v7, 3v6, and 5v4)?

If it’s straight the 5-4 game is going to be brutal, even Stone at #6 will be a tough out especially if they play Cumberland.

This district tournament final 4 at Tech may draw bigger crowds than the State Tournament (it did in 8AA).

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
