Do they work ? I don’t think they know. Now they are saying people might need a third shot.  I’ll take my chances you can get it if you have had the shot and you can get it if you haven’t so why take it ?

I'm sure there will be a booster. I understand with the variants that are popping up you can still get it but I think symptoms are a lot less severe for someone who has gotten the vaccine versus if you haven't. I work in a hospital around some bad stuff and it's a choice I made for me and my family.

I understand. The mutations won’t stop we are going to have to learn to live with it

My post said 95% of hospitalizations are unvaccinated. Illinois has reported less than 200 vaccinated deaths this year. That is equal to 2% of total covid deaths in the state.

And that number unfortunately will rise because of the ignorance spread about covid vaccines. Example the president telling people if they get it they won't get covid. Last year many such as myself already knew this was going to happen because Spolier Alerts: Viruses mutate. There is no vaccination for the delta variant and unfortunately that's what's spreading right now. And a delta variant vaccine probably won't be available until there's a different strain among us and so on. Your best bet is to try to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

There's a lot of ignorance about covid. Healthy lifestyle is a plus for sure. Maybe injecting bleach.... nah nevermind :roflolk:

Vaccines work. You have over 40 in your body RN.

He doesn’t have one mRNA vaccine in his system.  A vaccine gives you immunity to a virus right ? Like if you take the mmr shot you can’t get measles mumps or rubella. How can they even call it a vaccine ?  You can still catch covid if you take the shot

You can get measles or rubella but is highly unlikely. Mumps can appear in 10-15% of vaccinated people. Chicken pox vaccine is 80-85% effective.

Gonna pretty much be a requirement to exist in society as we go along, not sure we have any other choice. The next strain may be a doozy.  We have dealt with this  like idiots from day 1. The end game is goona be interesting. I highly doubt any of us are gonna like it. Wait and watch.

    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
    • Gunner Warren was the second starter, freshman. SP #1 arm impressed me last night.
