Carthage @ Gordonsville - August 21st

Figured I'd go ahead and get it started. This will be the first time these teams have opened the season with each other in a while. It was moved to Saturday to allow for more attendance as well. It should be a great environment.

Both teams return quite a bit, however, not sure about SC, but Gville won't have a lot of seniors. Best I can tell at this point is that there will be 4 senior starters. However, many of the juniors that will be playing have started since being freshmen.

I look for a closer game than last year, but I still see the Big Blue being victorious.

I know nothing of Smith except that they "beat" White House in a scrimmage.

We looked ok against Dekalb, but looked better against Livingston tonight.

I heard that SC doesn't have many on the roster, less than 30, maybe?

Carthage is terrible.

I heard Smith co may let the middle school qb play in this game for them.

I think Gordy, along with us, is the team to beat in the East this year.  I don’t know anything about SC, but considering the rival and it’s the first game, this will be close at first then Gordy pulls it out in the 2nd half wearing them down.  Gordy by 3 scores

I watched this game online last year and it looks to be streamed again by same group. I plan to watch it again.

I do think Dyer can turn SC around, but Gordy is already moving forward not just starting up, Gordy wins this one by 21 or so

Maybe this thread will pick up a little now that it's the actual week of the game.

I was overall impressed with Carthage at the jamboree, especially the defensive line and how Rigsby played.

After watching both of you play last night. I’m going to predict Gville by 2 scores or more.
