What a joke.... this is all about optics....do your research on the number of people ages 0-20 who have been hospitalized with COVID.... I'll bet the number of student athletes of that fractional percentage is minute...

Probably correct. But I am not sure school administrators will see it that way. Although, I know here in McKenzie they have not made a mask mandate (It's optional for now).   The check list of when to come to school and when not to is nuts.

Personally I think some schools are using the Covid excuse so they don't have to be embarrassed by a better team.

I agree with you.  I don't know that to be true but it does look funny.  This week's Hillwood vs. Pearl Cohn looks like that to me.  Once again, Hillwood might have the cases but I'm like you, a lot of these games that are getting cancelled are lopsided games or games that people think will end that way

100% agree. Word was last year Liberty tried their best to play the covid game at the last minute, that game wasn't a big deal. Halls which was a region opponent did play the  covid game and when it was time to try and remake the game their coach tried to not play it.

Virology 101 tells us as viruses mutate they become more contagious, but less deadly(100% of the time). Are will still going to be canceling games for COVID a few years from now when there will be exponentially more cases, but minimal symptoms for most? At what point does common sense outweigh the ignorance?

No truer words have been spoken on this forum. TSSAA should've addressed this in the preseason. It's a free for all now. Teams are playing the Covid card and ducking other teams left and right and trying to get favorable matchups.  No guarantee anyone will get to 10 games this season. Let the kids play.
