Oneida vs Rockwood

Oneida is coming off a very strong defensive effort at Northview. They pitched the shutout and gave up only a handful of 1st downs. Can they carry that defensive momentum into this huge region showdown at the Reservation??!!

Gave up 3 but 2 came off penalties.

Me to, this game always worries me and it never worries me at the same time. I stopped trying to predict it a long time ago. It never makes sense who wins or how. Just gotta let it happen. BTW it is homecoming this week but no we did not plan that. We were supposed to have it Oliver Springs week but that one didn’t get played and we only have one more home game as of right now. Just had 4 home games scheduled anyway and lost one to the Covid win.

Probably. We’re trying to get a game for our bye week since OS got canceled but not sure if it will be approved by T$$AA since IS was officially counted as a win instead of a canceled game. If they let us and we get one I’d imagine senior night would be that week. The bye is between Rockwood and Monterey I believe.

Yeah and this one is sure not in the bag. Rockwood always  keeps me guessing, can't never figure them out.

For either team,,like the way your D is playing but its always about matchups, you'll have to defend speed this week, if the QB is healthy for Rockwood,I'd say its game on.

I was told he was out again at Harriman and only played defense the week before. The defense thing doesn’t make sense to me if accurate. RW is fast but they won’t be the fastest we’ve saw this year. I think we can handle the interior. Question is will we be able to consistently set the edge. We have been tackling pretty good in the open field so if we can set the edge and force them back inside or to string it laterally until the secondary can arrive to help clean up it should be another classic Oneida/Rockwood defensive matchup. If we can’t keep contain on the perimeter they might torch us like they did Harriman last night. Like I said I stopped worrying about Rockwood a long time ago. Not because I think we’ll win but because it’s always such a battle regardless of records.
