From what I’ve seen Riverside’s receivers run a lot better routes than Martins. Riverside had a good accurate qb  to. There line just couldn’t hold up against Huntingdon’s d line.

Martin is better then Riverside by a huge margin. Martin would beat Riverside by 10 Touchdowns if they wanted to.  Martin receivers are far better then Riverside. You will get to see Friday night.

Simpson had around 50 yards passing because Westview had around 250 yards rushing in the first half. After halftime Westview only played JV Qb and Jv runningback. Westview still don't have the running back/linebacker 6.1" 205+ that they were going to start the year out with. He's only played 1-2 quarters all year so if he returns it only makes Westview better on both sides of the ball. Westview has way more in the play book than what they have shown and will only go as deep in it as they have too. Westview wins this game!

Martin hasn’t  beaten any of the teams they played by ten tds. And it’s not like they have been playing great teams either. Trenton should of beat them by four tds. They got the big lead early and let up and let Martin came back on them. It was more of a Trenton let down than a Martin come back.

Trenton did not let Martin come back, we fought back. Peabody does not let teams come back that’s why they have all them gold balls now. Now that was kind of a exaggeration on his part with all those tds but it was a figure of speech. If you think huntingdon is gonna run over Westview you are in for a long night. Now I heard the mustang dbs were the weak point of the defense. Let’s hope for their sake Westview dosent go off cuz there won’t be no ground and pound if you down 21 points.

Huntingdon can ground and pound but have 2 backs that can break one from 60 out at any time.
The dbs are the weak point because they are young. I think our front will pressure Simpson pretty hard and have fast defense ends that are fast and contain well.

Who has Huntingdon beat that makes them world beaters? McKenzie would have beaten Huntingdon by 5 tds if it hadn't been raining that night. They put 63 pts on basically Milan's JV.

No one has called Huntingdon world beaters. Mckenzie was the first game of the year and Huntingdon was still running a 2 QB system. Huntingdon defensive secondary was a totally different group. You can assume anything as far as the weather. That’s if and buts. Mckenzie’s squad is no slouch.
This Huntingdon team plays well together. As a group. Westview should win. We have a freshman qb. They have a freaking senior division one qb that should be at least a freshman in college this year. He is going to Ala freakin Bama. Name another 2a player from rural West Tn that has done that? That should give them a 3 TD advantage off the toss. They shouldn’t lose any game. But I suspect our boys may lace them up anyway. Maybe have something to talk about down the road.

Not to mention saying Peabody let us come back. I feel like we are just as good as they are and we have a stronger air attack than they do. If We had to play them twice a year we win at least one game. Union city is not a bad team, a run team. We didn’t have to throw to beat them. Fairview, who is tough. Probably felt like we toyed with them in the second half. Dresden are not scrubs, 5-2 losing a close battle to McKenzie. Our defense is mean and far better from the start of the season we are not allowing many points. Scored 35 in the second quarter alone. The stats speak for themselves no one can control their schedule completely

Good analysis, I feel like WV and the mustangs well be top seeds this year. One of us will play union city twice and huntingdon may play Martin again in the postseason

    • What you are saying is true about high school athletics being a privilege and not a right, but NO ONE ever knows what will happen if a case goes before a jury.  Again, I have been in a couple of jury rooms and it's always a little crazy.  That is why my prediction is you will see a settlement before the case goes to trial.
    • What rules does everyone not operate by?
    • So you want a have and have not split? Sound like the perfect ramp to elitism. Tell those rural kids that they'll never be able to compete with those urban kids. They're not good enough right? Or we could just do what travel baseball does and have tournaments every weekend and give kids big fake rings for winning a few games. The suburban public schools are typically the ones with more funds. Urban and rural schools have more in common in finances than they do with rural schools. I've taught and coached in all of it. The difference is attitude. But if you're jsut going to say you can't compete because you don't have the money then that's an excuse. Especially in basketball. The balls are the same size, the rims are the same height and size. The ball dribbles the same in some rural gym in mountains as it does in the FedEx forum. Charters come and go like a fart in the wind. They are no real threat to anyone. Magnets could be but rarely do they win either. It just hasn't been seen in Tennessee.
    • That’s a good line. Wins would be Soddy, Howard, and Ooltewah. Maybe East Ham again or Knox Central. Tyner maybe but being that late in the year it’s hard to say. I don’t think we get by Red Bank this year.    Rhea could be anywhere from 2-8 to 6-4.
    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
