Fellas, I have been told that the OC at Oak Ridge has been let go and the coaching staff has been shook all to pieces moving guys around.  If true, this is bad….especially for Gaddis.  This might be the end of an era!

Was this a credible source? I can't see JG doing this at the mid year point.

I can’t either. That’d be ridiculous, I think. The season is already a wash, just wait it out. There’s literally ZERO chance of OR doing anything meaningful in the playoffs, zero.

Directly from a player and when I asked a person close to the program to verify he said he cannot deny it.  But he wouldn’t confirm

That is absolutely incredible, if true. However, I am with Sweet. If you were going to shuffle the staff, that should've been done a month ago, at least. This season is dead in the water. Makes JG look like he has lost control. Which may not be far from the truth. This is unacceptable.

The player I reference is a starter on offense.  Said the OC will not be back (they found out yesterday afternoon) and “Hoge” or “Hodge” (can’t remember) is now the OC.  And other coaches are moving positions.  New offensive line coach as well apparently

I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I’d be lying if I said I haven’t noticed tension between the 2 watching their interactions during the games. It’s just a matter of time if not true, IMO.

Who is their S&C coach? This is obviously a huge issue currently and will be moving forward.

    • If this were true and I'm not saying it's not why the dog and pony show ?  Seems like a slam dunk unless it's not.... You can make the announcement the public doesn't need to know the teaching position.
    • Did anyone see the UCONN/Gonzaga game?  There is a lot of discussion about the state tournament being watered down with too many classifications.  Gonzaga is an outstanding team and they got hammered by 30 points in the elite 8.  With the way the game is played today, that can happen to a lot of good teams if the other team is hitting three's and rolling.  Happens all the time at all levels.  It is just today's game.  Do some teams get in they aren't state caliber teams? Absolutely.  Do some really good teams get in and get blown out? Absolutely.
    • Spot on. Quite frankly, I am surprised that McCallie has still employed Yost. His results have been abysmal. To say McCallie has the best staff in the state like durdon claims is just ludicrous. I get that he is loyal to the coaches that trained his son, and I respect that, but the McCallie program has become a joke in D2 under Yost's leadership. From what I have seen, there seems to be a lack of engagement between he and his wrestlers. Rarely does he even coach his wrestlers at tournaments. I still see Newman, Connell, and the other muscular guy coaching most matches. Yost films which I find extremely odd from a head coach. I don't know if it's a lack of interest or what, but McCallie honestly deserves better when you're paying $30-60k to go to school there.
