Playoffs Round 1: Dyer County @ Henry County

Two old region rivals are set to meet again, this time in the first round of the TSSAA 5A State Playoffs. Dyer County will travel to Patriot Stadium to take on the Henry County Patriots. The last time they met in the playoffs (2019) the Choctaws went to Patriot Stadium and they shocked the world and beat Henry County. This year the Dyer County Choctaws are 6-3 on the season and averaging 39.3 points per game on offense. Their defense is allowing 27.5 points per game. The Henry County Patriots are currently 5-5 on the season and averaging 25.9 points per game. Defensively the Patriots are giving up 18 points per game. Region 7 meets Region 8, there is no tomorrow, it's win or go home! What's your thoughts on this matchup?

I watched the Dyersburg vs Dyer Co game this year. Dyer Co seemed soft like warm butter up front on both sides of the ball. Dominate the trenches and run right at em HC. Best of luck to the Patriots.

As Lee Corso says " not so fast my friend" . HC has taken them lightly in the past and paid for it so they better be ready. Looks like DC puts up a lot of points.

You KNOW Henry County will NOT overlook Dyer County this time around. Same mindset we had against Portland. Just get after them for 4 quarters!!!

Watched them play Dyersburg unless they have improved ALOT don’t see them scoring much. HC defense seems pretty stout
