MAHS @ Westview

Curious to see how MAHS is going to do on two point conversions. If they maximize those play and score above 66%, it’ll be interesting to see how uncomfortable Westview will get.
MAHS defensive line needs to throw their hands up if they can’t sack Simpson. Get him and the receivers uncomfortable.

Westview is going to make big plays and they’re going to score. From 25-25 yard line, let Westview make their plays  and don’t panic. However, when the Chargers are in the red zone and the field is condensed, can MAHS used a “bend don’t break” defense and get a turnover on downs here and there?
Can they also get the big special teams play and rely on the talent of Cameron Miller?

Heart says MAHS because they 100% earned the right to be here, and they totally deserve the respect I’ve been preaching on weeks prior to the playoffs even began. Gut says Westview, and I don’t know why.

Hate I won’t be there, I’m going to another game, but everybody that’s going to the game should be excited to see a dogfight between a preseason favorite, and a underdog team that no one even considered (state wide) to be here.

    • I have no clue if Derek tried to talk some since into his dad or not about staying here. All he is going to accomplish is going from the oven to the frying pan. If I were the coach all Ale would freze over before I set back and watched one of my good players leave without a fight.
    • If this is true, South Gibson is taking a big chance. Passing on an experienced coach for a guy who has never coached at the high school level is a high risk move, especially in that district and region.
    • Dorian Eskridge was HVA's best back, 2011
    • Jo Byrns was a very solid team last year. Imo, I thought they presented the biggest challenge for us on our path to winning it all last year. I expect them to be in the conversation and one of the final few teams playing in Murfreesboro
    • I'm not sure you understand anything if you think DB's career and AD's career are comparable.  This is a terrible take.   Not to slight AD, He was a good player and he got better as he matured after high school.   But Desean had over 8,000 yards in HS and was a two-time Mr. Football.
