Appreciate it. I had someone tell me in church this morning their son was listening, who use to be my qb when I coached McKenzies middle school, and he said Coach was jacked up Friday night. Lol

Lol yea for sure ... the youngest didn't have u as a coach but tic tic tac when batting has definitely stuck around my house

Imo if So. Pitt meets Peabody or McKenzie is not going to turn out well for them. West is just better in 1 and 2A right now. It runs in cycles and right now the West is on uptick. I see the trend continuing for the next few years.

Are you basing this on watching film?

These guys will be the difference if Peabody moves on or not. Nothing but respect for McKenzie, but if this group does what they are capable of and wear down the d-line of McKenzie Peabody will move on. The skill players are about even, maybe a slight edge to McKenzie, but Coach Driggers is the best o-line coach in 1a-4a football in Tennessee. These coaching staffs know each other quite well as both Driggers and Taylor I believe started out coaching under Comer at McKenzie. This game will be a battle for four quarters, but after watching Fayetteville I can guarantee you this group will be a lot better with their technique than Fayetteville was. Fayetteville was big, but WOW they were not good fundamentally. The reason the Tide are three time state champs is because of the work the coaches do with this group. We have been very blessed to have some outstanding o-lineman the last few years and now this group of Juniors (except for #50) know the challenge ahead of them. They have had this entire year to gel for this specific moment. If they give Ganaway a slight opening he will take it to the house. ROLL TIDE!!

    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
    • I think they have they coach they want close to being done. I guess we will all see how this plays out. I hope the hire a good one. There are some players in the box for the next coach to work with.
    • Going to grundle Troy Fleming?
    • I agree I don't think it will go to trial either, but I feel like that will be because no judge would deem this to warrant a law suit... If the school board settles, they loose and all coaches and schools loose too.
