Sounds like LaRue is up to again and is better than his Dad. Lol Just sophomore for Mavs and already proving lighting speed per 5Star prep. His dad put up numbers on Nationally ranked Cleveland back in the day. Can't dare say Mavs need speed.

If the Mavs just take there time be calm use surgical precision and execute with a refined defense then the Mavs should be setting in high cotton. Setting not the other word. LOL Just be calm and 1 game at a time. I have high altitude for the Mavs. Proud to be a Mav!

I didn't see it live, but multiple folks told me that West dominated. Although supposedly AC had some key guys out. I'm still waiting to get the entire story.

Well it's possible West has been a very defensive team. The Mavs now know what they have to start with in Powell. West can almost always play toe to toe with anyone. Ol Hickory let us know

Just read the 5starpreps article about the scrimmage and AC was without Noe and Vowell.  West did put it to them though and picked off Martinez twice (one returned for TD).  West threw for 4TD's which isn't a good sign when you open with Powell and the WR's and QB they have.  West Looked faster and more athletic than AC (Which has been the Achilles heel in their play-off runs).  I think west and powell will be the class of 5a in this area.

Hearing overall scoring was about even and AC may have out scored them in the end. I would call it a tie and if AC had been at full strength they would have come out on top. 
 

Still think CJJ and company unleash Shock and Awe and the MAVS keep it close for a quarter or two, then it gets ugly.

The Mavs will be just fine, especially on offense.  But defense wins championships!!! They'll be ready for Powell in 9 days....just wait and see.

Actually defense keeps the other team(s) from winning championships...
