Bolton and a few more are in. I'm interested in seeing if there will be a total reclassification (using the number of classes now in place).

Idk.

What's the chances student athletes in Blount Co ( William Blount in particular), look to Eagleton as an option instead of Greenback?

Easy, they dont have to move. They are already getting them also Maryville got their Starting QB and he starts for Maryville now. They will be a force in 1 or 2A.close to 50 players right now and will only grow.Dead center of Alcoa,Heritage and Maryville helps also.

So you're saying, Blount County student athletes will no longer see Greenback as a viable option?  Lol

Not right now, parents want their kids to win now.We provided that until the powers that be made this hire!Eagleton will provide that next year, they will be a top dog as soon as they start the season. We unfortunately wont until we hire a Coach. Then as usual we will be viable.Transfer make a huge difference for us and you.You do not win it all or Cloudland for that matter without them.It is what it is.

Chattanooga Prep, a charter, is another I’m interested in to see where they fall. I believe they have 9th grade only this year or maybe 9/10 and have been competitive. I hope their enrollment is scaled to four years if they don’t have four classes yet. That snafu helped Signal greatly back in the day.

Yeah.  In 2021 Sissy MTN was the best 4a team playing 2a.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
