Lesser teams have bettered plenty of favored teams by simply being better prepared, better coached, and scheming what compliments their strengths and talent. It's high school ball. Better coaching and execution is all you can control right now and it's all the fans can ask for at this point. Frankly the parents, fans, and players deserve it. 

 Why is anyone or anything to blame? I realize that most of the parents at Forrest think their kids are superior athletically to everyone else, but history has proven that to not be true. Forrest was never a power on the 1A level, so what makes them think they will be on the 2A level? Heck, most of those 1A schools that General says sucks (Moore Co., Collinwood, Wayne Co.), have dominated Forrest throughout the years. I guess they've never had any good coaches, that must be the reason.

You're on a roll with dumb posts but this is your worst yet.  Did you listen to any sports talk radio after the Titans game?  It's not good in their offices this week. Losing games you're supposed to win draws scrutiny.  That comes with the job. Your own fans venting is one thing, when the other team does it for you it's another. If a coach downplays the importance of coaching he's not a good one.  The fans of the Forrest program think their players should be competitive with most of the teams on their schedule. That's not too much to ask for based on the school's recent success, returning players, facilities, community support and growth, etc. If you think the results of football games played 20, 30, and 40 years ago matter today, you are a special kind of stupid. Comparing your team to small, rural schools with half your enrollment defines mediocre.

We can beat this dead horse another time. Anyone who wants to see how it turns out can read the Marion-Forrest 2021 thread. The more coach posts on here the worse the team looks. I'll bow out of this debate until we win a few.

Two weeks later, Loretto has lost to Mt Pl and Wayne Co. This loss looks more and more wacky/mysterious/unconscionable, etc. How the heck. And it wasn't close. Loretto scored AT WILL.

You left out the word unacceptable. Loretto may go 3-7 this year. Wins against Collinwood, Summertown, and Forrest. Collinwood was winning at the end of the 3rd quarter.
