Lol you respond nearly 24 hours later. Calm down, drink your relaxing tea, I’m going to give your blood pressure a break. I’ll be back soon, surely. ;)

I'm perfectly calm, thank you.

And perhaps it was nearly 24 hours before I responded because I didn't read your response until then?

No offense intended,  but I don't hang on yours, or anybody else's for that matter, words.

I actually have a life that doesn't depend on high school football and the out of touch with reality types such as yourself.

Grow up, pal.

Thank you for the motivational speech, I think I might become a changed man!

My conclusion after watching the game is that Alcoa is simply really good this year. To break it down. They are very big and strong on the line, both sides of the ball. The QB was very good. He was dangerous on the run and he did well passing too. He was difficult to bring down.  The defense was good against the pass and really got after the QB. The amount of skill players was apparent. They coached this game well.

Maryville does not seem to be as strong this year as past years. We look good at RB and O-line. The D-line is fine. Where we are not as impressive s we have been in past years is the secondary, our receivers, and QB. But, you can't have everything EVERY YEAR. The thing I like about Maryville, is many times I was not overly impressed early in the year, but they always improve vastly. We probably won't lose again, unless it is late in the playoffs.

With that said, we were still just one play away near the red zone of winning this game. And that is what I like about this program.

If you guys are okay with an outsider offering a comment...   Both Alcoa and Maryville have set the bar so high over the years that anything less than perfection in every game has the potential to be viewed as failure.   It is unlikely that any other 2 teams in Tennessee will ever have the success these 2 programs have displayed.    So someone has to lose and someone has to win, but in the big picture I say both are winners.

Did you go to the JV game last night?

I wanted too, have a co-worker, and his son plays for Maryville. Wanted to watch him play. But, went to watch a young man that plays for Heritage. I have watched him grow up at church. I told him I would go to the Hertige vs WB game. Hard to be at two places. B)

I couldn’t go either. Had some dental work done and just didn’t feel like it.

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin

    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
